Cloud growth in 2023 is estimated to reach a new high, followed by spending of 29% the year before. In the study by Canalys, despite the drop in growth compared to the same period last year (34% in Q1 2022, compared to 23% in Q4 2022), growth can now represent about 23% year-over-year.

"Enterprise customers are responding to higher cloud prices and higher-than-expected operating costs under difficult macroeconomic conditions," said Yi Zhang, Research Analyst at Canalys.
